Online Webinar Description

IT, which stands for “Information Technology, means using computers to gather, store, and process various data. To put it short, it’s a technology, which is used to manage information. This includes machines as complicated as a smartphone, but also as simple as an analog form of a calculator. Although the term itself is quite new, the technology itself has been around for hundreds of years, and nowadays it influences even the tiniest things in our everyday life.

The base of modern IT is programming, which is the creative task of providing a computer with instructions on how to achieve the outcome that we need. In other words, a programmer tells the mechanism about how to do things with the data it receives from users. Everything around us that uses electricity most probably will also require programming. And it’s not just things like laptops and smartphones, but also fridges, microwaves, washing machines, and even cars.

The Internet also played a very major role in the digitalization of our life. Nowadays we can do almost anything online, from buying groceries, ordering food, learning a new skill, to managing our taxes and payments. And all of these systems require entire teams to plan, develop, manage, and maintain them. That’s a lot of work, even if we ignore the great variety of phone apps and games that we can access at all times. And so it seems obvious that the industry would require a lot of people on every level.

There are also jobs that are not strictly “IT”, but where knowledge of programming can prove really helpful. People who do business analysis or project management, for example, can use that knowledge to better understand and manage expectations while planning. Online marketing experts, on the other hand, can use basic programming to tweak and adjust their strategies so that they are more versatile and effective.

Even those who do not deal with the programming process on a daily basis can benefit from understanding its basics to better manage their own information and electronic devices, maybe even creating simple programs that can assist in their everyday tasks. Join this live-streamed webinar to learn about the basics of programming and how to apply them in your everyday life!
